Den gave us a nice and easy-to-follow structure to create a business plan. And she walked us through the whole journey step by step, which was really clear and easy to follow. Just in 90 minutes, I had a really good, clear idea of what my business looks like and has a solid foundation of my business plan, which is great. Den also has this lovely approach and presence that brought us together in the session, that really connected everyone and created this really beautiful atmosphere, even if it’s online. So I really appreciate it. If you are early stage like me, you’d definitely benefit from working with Den.

We’re an IT provider across Gippsland, helping businesses all across Gippsland with all their IT needs and taking care of them so that they can go and do what they do best. For me, I chose to see Den because I wanted to get a bit more clarity on our business, find out where there were sort of things that I wasn’t sure about. Especially a lot of the time, you can’t see the metaphoric forest for the trees because you’re too close to it. And so the big challenge there was trying to analyse and find out where we need to go, what we’re doing, what we’re doing right, what things that we could do better. Since having a chat with Den and going through her clarity program, it really helped to analyse the business, look at those expenses that were good and necessary expenses, look at ones where we were wasting money and trimmed and [unclear]. And that was really fantastic. What I really appreciated the most about Den was her really easy way of working with, and good clarity flow, and then helping to zoom out and look at that business from a more bird’s-eye view. I got a lot out of that business audit, a bit more of an understanding of what was going on in the business and a bit more of that absolute clarity on what’s going on and where we need to go and how we’re structured and running. I’m Dylan. I work in the disability sector, been in it for about three and a half years now. I was a bit stuck on both my mindset towards jobs and stuff like that. So just reaching out to Den to get some coaching to help me fix my mindset. At first, I was a bit 50–50 on whether I go ahead and do it or not. But then sort of thought about it more and then had a bit more of a chat. And then I was like, you know what, why not? This is what I’m struggling with and this is what I need help with. So a shout-out to my friend, mentor and coach, Den. I’ve been doing some coaching with Den the last couple of months now. She’s created a program that has been really beneficial to me at a time in my life that has sort of come to a bit of a crossroads, particularly my career. But I’ve found that finding my values, my values, not just my business’s values, has been really beneficial. Finding my purpose again, it’s still an ongoing process, but having the tools to be able to do that with someone that is, you know, non-judgemental, very authentic and nurturing has been incredible for me. She’s helping me to find the strength to make a decision, find what my purpose is again, what my values are and sort of lead with my heart. So thank you to Den. Hi, I’m Sasha. I wanted to share a bit about my experience with Den. I’ve known Den for many years. She’s been my mentor and manager. So when she started her life coaching business, I was curious to see what she was doing and her unique approach to the new role. To be honest, I was a bit sceptical of life coaching. I didn’t have a great opinion on it. I was already pushing hard in my professional goals and thought, “Why would I need coaching? I’m already achieving my goals.” But Den was so bubbly and excited for a new adventure. I wanted to support her in it. I’m glad I did. She showed me that life coaching isn’t just about my career success. It’s about understanding myself more deeply. One moment that really stood out was an experience she did before the session. We had to choose our core values from a list of about 50. At first, it seemed straightforward, until I realised that I identified with nearly every single goal on the list. Narrowing them down was very much overwhelming me. It was incredibly hard to define my goals with any certainty because I wanted to hold on to every single one of them. What made this so challenging and powerful was that usually I’m the one helping others make their decisions. I encourage people to make their best choices for themselves and their communities. But for myself, I hadn’t practised being clear and decisive in my own decision-making.

I learnt stuff about the Wheel of Life and about your health and your work and how to manage all these things.

I wasn’t sure that, as a friend, should Den coach me? But I think I opened myself up, and we had a really wonderful session where we did about a Wheel of Life. And it was a really good session that we had. It had different elements of our life which affect our day-to-day living. And sometimes we forget, to be very honest, we’re so busy that we don’t see how those things are impacting our lives, which include our health, our professional life, our family lives, financial. It was quite a comprehensive session, which I wasn’t really expecting to be that deep. But it was really professionally coached by Den.

One thing I really needed to do was get a website up and running, which I found really daunting. I’m quite private, and I thought that was going to be my last frontier, which you helped me with. Thank you very much. And, you know, since we’ve done this coaching, I’ve been approached by lots of people that I didn’t know, and I’ve been asked to give talks and things like that. So it’s just been absolutely wonderful how it’s changed my life and just allowed me to do things that I’ve never done before.

After COVID, I feel like we’ve never been more disconnected as people to each other. So being in a room like that, with that environment and someone like yourself facilitating the sessions, it really does make a difference. And funnily enough, we actually all had something in common with each other. And that was cool as well, because when you do a group session, you’re not just being exposed to Den and what she’s doing. You’re also being exposed to what everyone else in the room is talking about and going through. And they might be going through a similar thing to yourself. And now you have someone else that you can talk to directly about the thing you want to help yourself with. Yeah. And I sort of think with one-on-one coaching, it’s really great depth work because you can go really dig in and dig down. But I think the group coaching is very much breadth work. Yeah, you get to hear different perspectives and you get to bounce off each other and open up your mind to different ways of thinking.
